LESSON 8 – Review, Resources, and More… (Spring 23)

In this lesson we will review what we learned about Accommodations and Assistive Technology. You will be provided important information about getting started with finding and funding assistive technology, along with useful information about where to purchase various low tech items (often at little to no cost).

ASSIGNMENT:  📝

After reading “AT: Where and How to Get It” answer the following and submit by the end of the module:

  • Name two possible funding sources
  • Name two places where you can find low tech off the shelf items.
  • Which of the following is true:
    • Genetic Low tech items can be easily purchased at stores and on-line: Bed Bath and Beyond, Organized Living, Kitchen stores, Home Depot, Lowes, Teacher supply stores, Drug stores, Book stores, Target, Kmart and more.
    • All AT must be purchased through companies specializing in the development of Assistive Technology products.
